1) SMALL MISSION TEAMS

We use small Mission Teams and recruit local assets to help us on the ground to maximize our effectiveness and therefore task your donation to the people in need, not on 80 airplane tickets and gear for unnecessarily large mission staff like the big Corporate Aid Groups deploy.

HASF Missions are specifically designed for small teams to do more with a minimum amount of personnel. We model our Mission Plans and Procedures after the tried and true tactics used by Special Forces Teams.

2) DONATIONS ARE NOT WASTED ON SALARIES

All HASF Team Members are all Volunteers; no one receives a salary of any kind, so when you donate you know 100% of your donation is tasked for Missions, period.

Here is a comparison of how some other ‘non-profits’ spend your donations vs. HASF:

Gail J. McGovern President and CEO
United Way
Salary: $717,076.00

John L. Miller, President and CEO
Goodwill Industries
Salary: $3,206,088.00 (Yes, that is in Millions)

All Team Members, Including President and CEO
HASF – Humanitarian Aid Security Forces
Salary: $0

HASF is proud to be one of the only Humanitarian Aid Groups where Volunteer Team Members do not receive any salary or financial compensation. Your donation goes where you intended for it to go, to the people you want to help.

3) WE SOURCE MATERIALS IN-COUNTRY

HASF Mission Teams source supplies in-country on the ground, shipping a dozen conex boxes to a country filled with humanitarian aid supplies that can be soused locally for 1/50th of the cost is a wasteful Big Aid Group practice left over from the 80’s.

The only supplies HASF Mission Team Members bring with them is gear that cannot be sourced locally, is prohibitively expensive if purchased overseas, some medical equipment and supplies that are commonly counterfeited overseas that must be genuine for patient safety and some gear that allows our Mission Team to be self-sustaining and safe.

We source our Humanitarian Aid Supplies locally before the main Team arrives. HASF Recon Team Members locate the supplies needed to help people, negotiate the best deals from local vendors, rent or borrow transportation, use local drivers and labor to distribute and provide care to those in need, and ensure the safety of Mission Team members and the people we are helping.

4) 3rd PARTY OVERSIGHT

HASF is sponsored by Social Good Fund (SGF), a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit fiscal sponsor. All donations are processed and held by SGF, to receive donations HASF must provide a detailed mission plan, an itemized mission financial expenditure breakdown, a written disbursement request.

Only after the mission plan is approved by senior staff at SGF as a feasible plan will your donations be distributed to HASF. Post-mission HASF must then provide receipts for every penny used on the mission, with any remaining funds immediately returned to SGF for future missions. SGF files all of our mission expenditures with the IRS for final approval every quarter.

No one at HASF has direct access to any donations with this multi-level 3rd Party Oversight in place, guaranteeing your donations are only used to help people in need, and your donations are publicly available for scrutiny.

5) WE WILL NOT QUIT HALF WAY THROUGH A MISSION AT THE FIRST SHOT HEARD

The big Corporate Aid Groups turn tail and run at the first sign of danger. They refuse to defend their mission teams or the people they are supposedly helping. And they waste huge amounts of donations by cutting off missions before they are completed. HASF Mission Teams specifically choose the world’s most dangerous places to help people, all of our Mission Team Members know and understand the risks and agree to finish the mission and defend our team and the people we are helping with your donations in an ethically responsible manor, but aggressively if necessary.

To put it simply, we do not run from the Bad Guys. The Bad Guys run from us.
